Pre-Owned Zenza Bronica SQ-Ai with PS 80mm F2.8 Zenzanon, 120 6×6 Roll Film Back, Waist Level Finder in excellent cosmetic condition. All boxed! This kit has been left with us by a long-standing and trusted client, and has been used as part of a professional studio workflow. Some very minor signs of use to bodywork, along with very little internal lens dust.

Highly respected, Zenza Bronica produced a range of medium format cameras in 6×4.5cm, 6x6cm and 6x7cm. As popular with professionals and enthusiasts alike, the cameras were well made, had excellent optics and their modular design suited the needs of the studio photographer, advertising as well as the landscape shooter.

The SQ-Ai is a modular 6x6cm medium format camera. Usually sold with a Waist Level Finder, users could upgrade to a prism or AE prism for Aperture Priority Auto Exposure. A range of lenses was available from 35mm Fisheye to 500mm telephoto as well as zooms. The system was extensive and covered the needs of most professionals and enthusiasts.

The SQ-Ai updated the earlier SQ-A to provide compatibility with the Bronica SQ-i Motor Drive, additional TTL Flash Metering was provided, a Bulb exposure setting rather than just T, a longer 16sec exposure time.

Zenza Bronica also updated the lens system by redesigning and improving the image quality of the SQ lenses. The PS Series utilised new optical designs and glass and were superior to the earlier S series, The optics easily holding their own to other established camera systems.

A rarity nowadays, this SQ-Ai is in excellent condition and unusually also all boxed.
