Much missed, Ebony Large Format Cameras from Japan have been some of the best made and aesthetically impressive cameras of their generation. Using both ebony wood and titanium metal fittings, they acknowledge the heritage of wooden and brass large format cameras but with a modern sensibility. The cameras are beautifully finished with smooth precise movements.

The SW version is designed for use with wide and ultra wide lenses and it’s shortened base allows sufficient movement whilst also being compact and easy to store. It’s compactness means that setting up is quicker than many LF cameras. Lenses of up to 180mm can be used with the bellows extended.

Users feeling the need to use longer lenses can consider the Ebony 452 Extension ( listed separately ). It allows an additional extension, giving use of a lens up to 400mm. The extension gives a little bit of tilt and swing movement too.

Front Shift (38mm + 38mm), Front Swing (45 degrees both directions)

Front Axis Tilt (20 degrees both directions).

Rear movement is Back Rise (50mm).
