Lee Filters LEE100 Polariser Filter (100PL)

£195.00 (£234.00 inc. VAT)

The Lee 100 Polariser uses a handy clip-on design. Designed to accompany the Lee 100 Holder.  The new design means that it’s secure and there is no danger that the rotation of the filter could cause it to unscrew off the ring. A light weight high transmission glass has been used and it’s multicoated too. Ideal for reducing flare and ghosting, better when shooting into the light.

THIS FILTER DOES NOT FIT THE LEE FOUNDATION HOLDER.

Lee Filters LEE100 Polariser Filter

Cir-Polariser Filter for New Lee 100 Holder

Developed to accompany the new Lee 100 Holder. The Lee 100 Polariser ( 100PL) uses a handy clip-on design. So much simpler than screwing the filter onto a thread. The new design means that it’s secure and no danger that rotating the filter could cause it to unscrew off the ring. It uses a light weight high transmission glass and it’s multicoated too. Ideal for reducing flare and ghosting, better when shooting into the light.

Like the Lee 105mm Landscape Polariser, the Lee 100 Polariser is a ‘warm tone’ filter. In effect it has a built in 81A filter to enhance and ‘warm up’ the image. A polariser can tone down or ‘cool’ the colour saturation of an image and this is a subtle way of counteracting this effect.

( For those who would like to use a neutral polariser, consider either the Lee 105mm Cir-Polariser or the range of Heliopan Cir-Polarisers that are also sold by Teamwork )

Using a cir-polariser

The Circular Polariser is suitable for use with all Digital and AF cameras, as well as manual cameras too.

Polarising Filters reduce reflections and glare, normally they are a neutral colour and can be used for colour or black and white.

The light coming from the sun is not polarised, parts of the light become partially polarised due to the scattering of particles in the atmosphere.

This scattering reduces the transparency of the air and creates haze in the distance and the blue in the sky on a sunny day.

By rotating the filter you optimise it’s position in relation the light. Not only making water or glass seem transparent but it can also saturates colours too. Much favoured by landscape photographers, a polariser enhances a blue sky or can remove reflections from water.
